Tough loss against a talented Mt. Carmel team
Let's start with this – Mt. Carmel is really good. Seeing them play in person, you can tell this is a well coached team with obvious athleticism, size, and a ton of court smarts. Lots of cutting and sharp passes broke down Rolling Meadows' defense, and Mt. Carmel got out to a pretty big lead in the first half. Meadows chipped away, but never fully recovered.
Ian had one of his tougher games of the season. Credit Mt. Carmel for doing a good job of disrupting Meadows' offense in general, with a focus on Ian specifically. While he got a few open looks and drives, he was also double teamed in the post consistently. Ian also got into a bit of foul trouble as Mt. Carmel's offense proved tricky to defend, ultimately finishing with 11 points.
