37 points in dominant performance to lead Rolling Meadows to sectional finals

When I was a kid I'd watch a lot of the Michael Jordan era Bulls. Back then it was common to see the Bulls as a team play well, but the difference between a win and a loss usually came down to one player – Jordan – taking over the game and dominating when his team needed him the most.
I would never compare any player to Jordan, but on Wednesday night, that's the kind of performance we saw from Ian. In an extraordinarily tough matchup against Stevenson, Ian did what his team needed – he took over and dominated. He nailed a clutch 3 to force the game into overtime, and then again hit another ice cold 3 for the eventual game winner. Stevenson played excellent team basketball but simply had no answer for him.
Ian finished with a double-double with 37 points and 11 rebounds. He shot an ultra efficient 67% from the field (14/21) overall, and 43% from 3 (3/7).
Rolling Meadows moves on in the Schaumburg sectional finals against Fremd on Friday night.

The Mustangs needed a superhuman performance from Miletic to get there as no other Mustang was in double figures. Miletic finished 14-of-21 from the field overall and 3-for-7 from outside the arc.
That clutch shooting included a three-pointer with 4.5 seconds to play from 25 feet over Stevenson’s 6-foot-8 Atticus Richmond to tie the game at 49-49. He then followed with the eventual game-winning points with another three with 54.4 seconds left in overtime.
Mustangs set a new school win total (29-4), w/ the 54-53 win over Stevenson in O.T. Miletic 37pts, 11 reb's. Lazarevic 8, Duffer and Meyer w/ 3, Escobedo 2, Pekovic 1, Warrener and Coen, great D. Sectional Final vs. Fremd on Friday. 7:00 at Schaumburg High School.
