14 points in win over South Elgin to advance to regional finals

The Mustangs rolled to a 60-23 lopsided victory against South Elgin, setting them up for a regional final matchup against Palatine on Friday. Ian put up relatively quiet 14 points and 2 assists as many of the Rolling Meadows starters were given a breather and the bench given some valuable playing time.
Rolling Meadows 60, South Elgin 23: Second-seeded Rolling Meadows (27-4) got all the publicity it needed last Wednesday for winning the Mid-Suburban League championship. In its regional opener it scored the first 15 points, played its top eight less than 16 minutes and had a running clock the entire fourth quarter as it won for the 10th time in 11 games.
Marquette-bound Ian Miletic had 14 points on 5-for-9 shooting with 2 assists and two 3s and Patrick Coen had 6 points and 4 rebounds.
Mustangs improve to (27-4) with the 60-23 win over South Elgin, Miletic 14, Pekovic 10, Kerr 7, Coen, Lazarevic, Krestel 6, Babula 4, Kossack, 2, Duffer and Meyer 2. We play Palatine for the Regional Championship on Friday, 7:00 at home!
